A fully funded PhD position is available at Professor Mark Ward's lab at Trinity College, Dublin, Ireland.Prof. Mark Ward, Assistant Professor in Pharmacology and Therapeutics at Trinity College Dublin is looking for a talented and self-motivated student to join his lab to study Immunotherapy-associated Thrombosis in Cancer. This position is fully funded position for 4 years supported by a Trinity Research Doctorate Award (TRDA) in the Department of Pharmacology and Therapeutics at School of Medicine, Trinity College Dublin.Deadline: Friday 19 June 2026About the Project: The project will combine immune and endothelial cell biology, single-cell transcriptomics, and translational research using longitudinal patient cohorts to investigate the mechanisms driving immunotherapy-associated thrombosis. The successful candidate will work across Trinity College Dublin, the Trinity St James’s Cancer Institute, and St James’s Hospital, gaining experience in experimental, computational, and translational cancer research within a supportive multidisciplinary environment.Funding: This is a fully funded PhD position for 4 years, supported by a Trinity Research Doctorate Award (TRDA) with a stipend of €25,000 per annum.Eligibility: Graduation Immunology, Pharmacology, Biochemistry, Molecular and Cellular Biology, Translational Medicine.Desirable: A Master's degree in relevant field with laboratory experience in cell culture, flow-cytometry, transcriptomic analysis, knowledge of R/Python, experience in working translational and interdisciplinary environment.Application procedure:Applicant should submit send their CV including name and contact details of two referees.
